just minutes before this first picture I took of this Sow Brown bear with twin cubs was taken , I was unsure if I would get a chance to photograph it . You see this close encounter unfolded in my favor because now I was standing at the edge of my opened car door when just seconds ago , this Sow was closer to my car than I was . The opened car door acted like a screen as I hurried back from the lakes edge while be overwhelmed by the presence of about fifty a Trumpeter swans honking and carrying on . All of a sudden three brown quite furry animals took all my attention away from my great swan pictures . For about five minutes I had forgotten completely about the largest waterfowl in North America (Trumpeter Swans) and my attention was totally in what I consider the strongest animal in North America, Brown Bears
