Trumpeter swans will move their necks in so many different positions. The neck on a Trumpeter swan has 24 or more vertebrae and they seem to use everyone, especially while out of the water . Also seen often preening themselves with a natural oil they produce. They will spend most their time cleaning and preening after feeding . A pleasant addition in winter time often seen feeding along the open edges of Kenai Lake and Kenai River
