While walking the shore of Kenai Lake one early summer morning, I met Cecil Rhode . Cecil had  put his working tool down and lit his pipe while he told me how this log he was carving on would soon be a functioning canoe . After meeting him personally that morning probably about 1960, I saw him frequently while he ran the movie projector at the community club for the weekly movie .
